FINDING A GOOD INSTALLER is like finding a good mate.

Hi! My name is Mike Hannig and I’m the Northern California Installer for Studio Shed. I’m a general contractor specializing in small home remodels. Studio Shed was in search of a reliable and trustworthy individual to install a Shed in the Bay Area and found me via the internet. We hit it off after our first installation.

While I’ve been happily married for 30 years to a wonderful woman with an unusual name (Lizlynne) I’d like to share a few frivolous yet insightful details about myself.

I’m a coffee drinker. I buy whole beans and happily grind away a fresh cup each morning. I prefer a low acidity darker roast with aromas of nut and spice. I have a strong and often restless desire for McDonald’s savory sausage with a fluffy folded egg wrapped in a flakey buttermilk biscuit for breakfast. I love to cook.  My specialty is good ‘ol spaghetti with Italian sausage and my original blend of spices. Casa Orozo, a locally owned neighborhood restaurant in Livermore, is our flavor of choice when we’re not eating spaghetti. Originally from Minnesota, I was transferred to California in 1989 by the tech company for which I was employed. We’ve lived in the same Bay Area city for 22 years and love the weather (coming from MN, who wouldn’t?) We have two boys, Adam and Sean.  Adam is 28 and works for Lexjet in Sarasota Florida.  He’s not married yet but maybe soon. Sean, 23, is in his last semester at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ studying Construction Management. If you have a job for him, please let me know. I’m just a regular guy trying to make a living. I’m honest and upfront from the beginning to the end. I enjoy working with my hands in the outdoors and meeting new people.

I appreciate the whole Studio Shed brand – the product, the people, the message.
